About us

Three travellers, two bikes, one trailer.

We are Stéphane, Cassandre and Clémence. Since 2015, this blog has been telling our travels the way you keep a journal, day after day, without dressing things up.

First came Australia in 2017: a year abroad between Sydney, farm work and thousands of kilometres of road to Perth and Melbourne. Then New Zealand, the American West, Japan, Québec and the Canadian Rockies.

Since Clémence was born, we mostly travel by bike. Two bikes loaded with panniers, a trailer for her, and the wish to go slowly: the Garonne canal, the Tarn gorges, the Belle Via and the Vercors, then, in 2025, four months in South Korea, a month in Kyushu and the ride back to Europe, from Zagreb to the Mediterranean.

Why “The Quiet Adventure”

Because adventure doesn't have to be spectacular. It is in a regional train caught at the last second, a playground in the middle of an Italian village, a host who makes breakfast when she didn't have to. That quiet adventure is what we write about.

Reading the stories

We write our stories in French first, and every one of them is also available in English. Use the FR / EN switch at the top of any page to move between the two versions.

Our books

After each big journey we gather the stories and the best photos into a book. You'll find them on the Books page.
